The bike is set up for an auto cadence of 55. This can be changed to suit the rider by using the Enviolo smart phone app. The cadence remains the same uphill, downhill and on the level. The internal Enviolo gearing automatically changes to suit. To speed up, pedal harder but the cadence remains the same. The system is maintenance free; no chains or gears to lube. The Bosch Flow app can also be downloaded to a smart phone. Trek bikes are not supplied with a dedicated manual, but whatever was supplied will go with the bike.
